Traditional Brazilian Hot Dog
As Brazilians, we have a habit of “improving” food, sometimes a little too much. Brazilian pizza and sushi are good examples. The traditional Brazilian hot dog is basically a loaded hot dog. Tonight’s dinner was a classic version: a milk bun, two sausages, vinagrete (tomato, onion and vinegar), onions cooked in tomato sauce, homemade mayo, colonial cheese, shoestring potatoes, peas, sweetcorn, carrot, cabbage, ketchup and mustard. The homemade mayo is usually made with egg yolk and oil whisked together until creamy. It sounds like a lot, but that’s pretty standard for a Brazilian hot dog. 🇧🇷 submitted by /u/rdgs_vitor [link] [comments]
