Hotdogs are not very well established in Germany. Ikea's version is what people mean when they talk about hotdogs since they dominate the market. There are no hotdog places to go to for inspiration when you seek fancy food, so I'm reading this sub and testing and trying things for myself every once in a while. Yesterdays dogs: steamed brioche bun (just learned that 'steamed' is a thing), air fryer franks, mayo, caramelized onions, dill pickle+onion relish, red cabbage, jalapenos, honey mustard, some crumbs of sour creme chips. So good. Ate three of them and still wanted more whilst not being able to. I liked the steamed buns, my family thinks it's just wrong. They want theirs toasted next time. submitted by /u/Halskarate [link] [comments]
